I hope this message finds you well. I am writing as I previously spoke with Rujuta on your team and she confirmed this functionality does not exist at the moment. She suggested I put through a Feature Request, and I then spoke to Neil on your team who confirmed Rujuta's suggestion. 

The use case we have at the moment is about making sure we can only clip a central bit of the asset, without having to go through the process multiple times, and not have multiple assets.

E.g. asset length = 1 h. At 30 m, need to cut 2 mins off. We would then have a final asset of 58 mins, but the 2 mins that have been cut off are in the centre, not at the end or at the beginning. It's important we only have one final asset, or at least that we can put together 2 assets. I hope this makes sense. 

I understand submitting a Feature Request simply means this will have a space on your backlog to review, but that it does not guarantee it will be implemented any time soon if at all, so really I'm just putting this out there.
